The Road Home's mission:
To help people step out of homelessness
and back into our community.

Group Projects

Prepare a Dinner

1. Prepare a meal 2. Bring it to the Shelter 3. Serve it to the residents! Depending on your budget and group size, you can choose to feed the single men, single women, the families or any combination of the three. This is a fun and rewarding project. We ask groups to be limited to 20 individuals.

Donation Drive

There is a continuous need in the shelter for donated items. Choose items to collect in your neighborhood or visit different stores for possible donations like baby diapers, wipes, bottles and formula. A Needs List is updated monthly and available here.

Kids Activity

The playroom is available on Wednesday evenings for group activities with the children. In the past, groups have decorated cookies, brought in craft projects, made presents to give their families during holidays, and much more. You will want to plan for approximately 25 children between ages 2 and 12 years for the activity.

Assist with a Fundraiser

Our One-by-One Breakfast will be held on Tuesday, May 6th at Little America. We need volunteers to help with registration, greeting people, and escorting attendees to their tables. If you would like more information on how you can help, please email afarmer@theroadhome.org.

Our 22nd Annual Chili Affair will be held September 17th, 2008. This event is not possible without the help of volunteers! If you want to have fun while helping the mission of our agency, please get involved with our Chili Affair! Please email bflores@theroadhome.org for more information about this and other fundraising efforts.

Be Creative

Design your own project. We are very flexible and try to accommodate any ideas.
