How You Can Help For The Holidays
Volunteer
We have many volunteer opportunities for families, groups and individuals. We have on-going as well as one time service opportunities. For more information about volunteering during the holidays, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator directly at 328-8756.
Donate Items to the Shelter
The Road Home needs many items throughout the holiday season. Please refer to our Candy Cane Corner needs list on this site to see new items we are requesting. We also collect used items (in good condition) including blankets, pillows, socks, gloves, and clothing. Donation may be dropped off directly at The Road Home located at 210 South Rio Grande Street (455 West), from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
Give Money
One of the best ways to help The Road Home is through financial contributions. The annual cost for the Shelter is approximately $4.5 million dollars. Every donation helps. $10.00 will move one person from the cold streets to the warm shelter for one night. $100.00 will move ten people into the shelter for a night, and $1,000.00 will provide 100 nights of shelter for single man or women. All donations are tax deductible and will go directly to provide services to the clients we serve.
Come Learn More About the Shelter
Another great way to support The Road Home is to come take a tour of our facility and learn more about the valuable services we provide. Tours can be scheduled Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Due to the high volume of requests, tours will not be offered December 12th through January 4th. To schedule a tour for your family or group, please call our Volunteer Coordinator at 328-8756.
For any questions about the holidays, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 328-8756. Thank you for your support!
