The Johnson Family
Leah and Robert have 4 children. Robert suffers from a debilitating mental illness and is unable to work. Leah chose to go back to school and with the help of some training programs, has earned a degree and is working at a job that allows her to support her family. Leah and Robert recently received Public Housing through the Housing Authority of Salt Lake County.
This permanent housing option will allow the family to pay a subsidized rent (30% of their total income) and will help ensure that they do not become homeless again.
