Decades after having served as a Marine in the Vietnam War, Eugene found himself wheelchair bound, homeless, and separated from his family. Eugene and his wife, Pearl, knew that their son, who suffered from disabilities, should not be on the streets with them while they tried to get back on their feet. They left him in the care of loved ones while the two of them searched for housing opportunities. After months of hard work, they found the perfect apartment to suit their needs. With the help of the Veterans Housing Team at The Road Home, Eugene and Pearl were able to reunite with their son and to provide him a safe, stable home once again.
