Recently, a father who served in the Navy during Operation Iraqi Freedom entered The Road Home after having been homeless for several months. He was desperately trying to find housing so his kids could spend some quality time with him and he could have some stability in his life.
Finding housing can be a difficult challenge, but despite the ups and downs, he remained optimistic. It was a very joyful experience to see his smile as he finally signed his lease.
Having a place to live and call home gave this father the chance to spend quality time with his kids and gave him the stability he needed to now accomplish new goals such as finding a permanent job. He has already set up one interview and is trying to arrange for two more interviews this month. We are so happy to see this incredible Veteran thriving and moving forward in his life.
