At age 11, Elizabeth Barney expressed to her grandmother that she wanted to find a way to help other people. Her grandmother knowing that Elizabeth had recently learned how to knit and sew suggested that she could knit hats for the people staying at The Road Home. Elizabeth loves unique winter hats, so knitting hats was the perfect way for Elizabeth to help people.
She quickly organized her family and friends to help, and together they made 30 hats to donate. Overall Elizabeth put in of 50 hours of time for this awesome project! We are so incredibly grateful for Elizabeth’s generosity and example!
