Eli had it all- a great job for a good company, a wonderful family, and beautiful home. Eli worked hard to maintain his successes for his family. Unfortunately, that all changed when a bad business decision led to his incarceration.
During his incarceration, Eli lost his job, his home, and his family. After he served his time, Eli didn’t have anywhere to go and he turned to The Road Home for help. Working with a case manager, Eli learned he could qualify for assistance through our Veterans Office. While working towards finding housing, Eli also worked to find a new job. During this time, life brought Eli another unexpected twist – full custody of his children.
Eli was able to qualify for housing assistance and he started a search for a new apartment. All through his search, he kept in mind what would be best for his children. He finally found an apartment that was in an area with a good school and a great neighborhood.
Eli and his children are now housed and happy in their new home. His children are thriving in their new stable environment and Eli has found a job. Together they are building a new and wonderful life!
