100,000 Homes: Salt Lake City

We need your help!
The Road Home, in partnership with other local homeless service providers is joining the 100,000 Homes campaign and working towards sustainable solutions to ending homelessness. 100,000 Homes: Salt Lake City is a collaborative effort of community leaders from the non-profit, governmental and business communities in the Salt Lake County area striving to end homelessness in our communities.

During the upcoming Registry Week, Jan. 30 – Feb. 2, hundreds of volunteers are needed to help the campaign survey and do outreach work. Volunteers can help in one of three vital areas, outreach, headquarters/data entry, and surveying. Outreach volunteers will work together in a designated geographical area to survey & register homeless individuals in that area. Headquarters and data entry volunteers will help us keep our ‘home base’ in working order, assisting with organization, outreach coordination and volunteer refreshments. Headquarters and data entry volunteers will also helpĀ  download electronic surveys & enter the data collected after each survey day. Survey volunteers can help register and interview homeless individuals at various homeless service provider locations.

These volunteer opportunities do require a training session on Jan. 30, times vary. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who is looking for a much more hands on experience working with people experiencing homelessness in our community. We also encourage anyone with experience working with homeless individuals or providing services to low income families or individuals.Spanish speakers are also needed.

Your involvement during the our 100,000 Homes Registry week will help set us kick off an ambitious program to help people in our community step out of homelessness and into stable housing.
