Students Knit Hats for Those Experiencing Homelessness

June 23, 2017

The West Jordan Journal reports on students from West Hills Middle School knitting 1,000 winter hats for those experiencing homelessness.

“Service-oriented students have made 1,000 hats for Salt Lake’s homeless. For the last six and a half years, students in the service club at West Hills Middle School have used study hall and after-school hours to knit the winter hats. The hats are stuffed with a Christmas card, colored by students, and delivered to the Road Home Shelter each December..” Jet Burnham, West Jordan Journal, June 23, 2017
